Awards strategy
There are time and costs associated with awards programmes, so there’s no point in awards for award's sake. If you want more than a gaudy trinket for your mantlepiece, you’ve got to pursue opportunities aligning with your organisational goals and objectives.
An effective awards strategy is key to getting a return on your investment, and this can include;
-
Showcasing the value of a product or service to stand out from the competition
-
Building brand credibility through positive press attention
-
Positioning yourself as an employer of choice to attract the best talent
-
Celebrating your team to drive employee engagement
-
Spotlighting your executive team as industry thought leaders
I’ll work with you to identify the best awards to meet your business goals and create a plan to help you win them.

Award writing
This service is for you if you know what award you want to apply for but don’t have the time or resources to complete the submission.
After the initial consultation, I’ll review the criteria for your chosen award and set up a meeting to understand how your business meets them. This can be online or in-person, depending on your preferences, availability or location. I’m nosey by nature and would love to see where the magic happens. Visiting your workplace can help me write about your business more authentically, so feel free to invite me over!
I’ll use this information to create a comprehensive submission for your review. You may be required to submit supporting evidence, which I’ll guide you on. After your feedback, I’ll incorporate any amendments and then hit submit.
The length and depth of content required for awards submissions vary. Some may be a few hundred words, whereas others can be a few thousand. The depth of information required will impact how long it can take, so it’s important to engage this service with plenty of notice before the awards deadline.

Editorial and review
If you’re confident in your ability to create a knock-out award submission but want some unbiased feedback, I can help.
Having successfully applied for hundreds of awards over the years and having the honour of judging several programmes, I know what they’re looking for.
I’ll review your content and provide constructive feedback on improving your submission against the specific criteria. Some awards may also require you to provide supporting evidence, including financials, employee and customer testimonials and images. I can give you a steer on what will help your submissions shine.

Communications
support
So you’ve been shortlisted - congratulations. But now what?
Having potentially paid an entry fee, invested tens of hours in planning, writing and submitting an award, and now stumping up to celebrate at a fancy dinner, you want to get as much mileage out of your finalist status as possible.

Think social media, customer emails, press releases, intranet and newsletter content—the whole nine yards. I'll create a series of targeted internal and external communications to maximise your award's impact on your customers, employees and in the press.

The full works
Whether your marketing team is maxed out, or you don’t have one at all, it can be hard to get the headspace to do anything outside the day-to-day. The full works package means you can leave the hassle to me - and I live for it.
After we’ve spoken and I have a good feel for your business goals, I’ll identify and recommend the best awards programmes to help you meet them. I’ll coordinate with you and your team to get the information I need, collect the evidence, and write and submit the submission. And then we wait.
All going well, you’ll have a shortlist or two on your hands, and I’ll do my damndest to help you shout about your success. All that’s left for you to do is don your glad rags and enjoy your moment. You deserve it.
